American Legion, Peter J. Courcy, Post 178
Welcome to the American Legion, Peter J. Courcy, Post 178 website. Post 178 is named for Frisco resident Peter J. Courcy, who was KIA in Afghanistan in 2009. Today, our Frisco American Legion continues to serve our country by serving our community in a multitude of ways. Some of our programs include supporting our veterans through financial assistance, or visiting them in retirement and rehabilitation facilities, presenting the colors for events large and small, and fighting for our veterans rights.
We are also very involved with the youth and teach patriotism in schools, sponsor Frisco students in the Boys State leadership program at the state capital in Austin, host an oratorical competition, fund scholarships, and support local Scout Troops.
